With this in mind we are launching a new staff benefit called the \u2018Holiday Plus Scheme\u2019.<\/p><p>This scheme allows eligible employees to purchase additional days of annual leave, giving you more time off when you need it. The cost of the extra leave is deducted from your salary, helping you spread the cost over time.<\/p><p>Print Clever hopes that this flexibility will allow you to take extra time off for special events like weddings and extended vacations.<br \/><\/p><h3>Terms &amp; Definitions<\/h3><ul><li><p>Salary sacrifice: The cost of the additional days is taken from your annual salary and spread across the year.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Eligible employees: An employee on a permanent contract and not on probation.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Leave Year: January 1st to December 31st on any given year.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p><br \/><\/p><h3>Who is eligible for the scheme?<\/h3><p>All employees in permanent contracts who have successfully completed their probationary period are eligible to join the scheme.<\/p><p><\/p><h3>How it works<\/h3><p>Eligible employees can purchase up to five additional days of holiday in each leave year. With this in mind we are updating our annual holiday entitlement policy to include an increase in your standard allowance, depending on your length of service.<\/p><p>This policy rewards eligible employees with up to five additional days of annual leave, starting from your fifth year of employment, to a maximum of five additional days at ten years.<\/p><h3>Terms &amp; Definitions<\/h3><ul><li><p>Standard allowance: Twenty days.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Bank Holiday allowance: Cira seven-eight days of additional days in lieu of time off for national public holidays, i.e. May Day, when Print Clever is open and trading.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Service allowance: Up to five days, dependent on service length.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Service Length: The time you have been an employee of Print Clever.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Leave Year: January 1st to December 31st on any given year.<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h3>Who is eligible?<\/h3><p>All employees in permanent contracts who have successfully completed their probationary period are eligible to earn additional leave days.<\/p><p>If you have joined Print Clever via a TUPE scheme and your annual leave already exceeds the standard allowance plus service allowance, you are not eligible for additional days of leave due to service.<\/p><h3>How it works<\/h3><p>All eligible employees start with a standard allowance of 20 days of leave.\u00a0<\/p><p>Day one of your employment is the day that you start work. This is your service anniversary.\u00a0<\/p><p>In the year that your service reaches 5 years, you qualify for an additional day of annual leave. This is a permanent change to your contracted allowance.<\/p><p>The additional day is added on 1st January the following leave year.<\/p><p><strong>For example<\/strong>, Juan has a work anniversary on the 1st of September. On the 1st September 2024 he was with Print Clever for five years. On the 1st January 2025, Juan\u2019s standard allowance changes from 20 days to 21 days.<\/p><p>Your Line Manager is responsible for informing IT of the changes required to your annual leave allowance.<\/p><ul><li><p><strong>Five Years<\/strong> = +1 Additional Days Awarded in Year Six [New Standard Annual Leave = 21 days]<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Six Years<\/strong> = +1 Additional Days Awarded in Year Seven [New Standard Annual Leave = 22 days]<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Seven Years<\/strong> = +1 Additional Days Awarded in Year Eight [New Standard Annual Leave = 23 days]<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Eight Years<\/strong> = +1 Additional Days Awarded in Year Nine [New Standard Annual Leave = 24 days]<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Nine Years<\/strong> = +1 Additional Days Awarded in Year Ten [New Standard Annual Leave = 25 days]<\/p><\/li><\/ul><h3>Bank Holiday Allowance:<\/h3><p>Print Clever is open and trading every day of the year with the exception of Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Instead of closing the business for public holidays, Print Clever stays open and if an employee wishes to have a public holiday away from work, i.e. May Day, they will need to book it using their Bank Holiday Allowance. All employees are given an additional number of days each leave year to allow for their statutory right for public holidays. This can vary, but is typically seven or eight days\/year.\u00a0<\/p><h3>Requesting Leave:<\/h3><p>All leave requests must be approved by your manager using WorkSmarter, and are awarded on a first-come-first-served basis. If service cover is required, you may be refused your request for leave. We request that a minimum of two weeks notice is given for any leave request.
