<\/strong>2.0<\/p><\/li><li><p><strong>Implementation: <\/strong>2nd March 2024<\/p><\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><h3>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Introduction<\/strong><\/h3><p>1.1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Print Clever (\u201cthe Company\u201d) recognises and accepts its responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 including the responsibility to:<\/p><p>1.1.1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 provide and maintain a safe and healthy place of work<\/p><p>1.1.2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 provide adequate information, instruction, training and supervision<\/p><p>1.1.3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 provide and maintain plant and equipment and safe systems of work<\/p><p>1.1.4\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ensure safe access to and from the places of work<\/p><p>1.1.5\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 work to prevent accidents and work-related ill health<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>General Health and Safety<\/strong><\/h3><p>2.1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The overall responsibility for health and safety at Board level lies with Tony Acres, Director.<\/p><p>2.2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Day-to-day responsibility for managing health and safety is delegated to the Line Managers, overseen by the Compliance Office.<\/p><p>2.3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Management is committed to complying with the requirements of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, the Work at Height Regulations 2005, COSHH 2002, Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998, Lifting Operations &amp; Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) 1998, Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992 and all other Regulations that apply to the Company\u2019s work activities.<\/p><p>2.4\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Management will ensure that appropriate risk assessments are carried out of all work activities carried out by the Company in order to identify any hazards, and will then ensure that control measures are implemented and maintained to reduce the likelihood of injury, disease and dangerous occurrences arising as far as is reasonably practicable.<\/p><p>2.5\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Company will build and maintain an inclusive safety culture of continuous improvement in health and safety matters. All employees are consulted and involved in all appropriate safety matters, such as identifying hazards, maintaining safe systems of work, and reporting any condition which may appear dangerous or unsatisfactory.<\/p><p>2.6\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Board will, in so far as is reasonably practicable, ensure that the Company provides adequate financial resources to meet these objectives.<\/p><p>2.7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Copies of this policy are to be available to all Company employees\u00a0 and other interested parties.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Directors\u2019\/Partners\u2019 Duties:<\/strong><\/h3><p>3.1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Directors\/Partners will have at least a basic knowledge and understanding of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and its associated Regulations and Approved Codes of Practice.<\/p><p>3.2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It will be the responsibility of all Directors\/Managers\/Supervisors to keep all employees advised as to their responsibilities in respect of health and safety matters.<\/p><p>3.3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In order to protect the safety and health of employees and any others affected by the Company's operations, the Directors\/Managers\/Supervisors will:<\/p><p>3.3.1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure they are familiar with the hazards associated with the type of work the Company is involved with and with the precautions which need to be taken to eliminate or control those risks.<\/p><p>3.3.2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Establish procedures to deal with any emergencies, including adequate provision of Fire Wardens\u00a0 on all shifts.<\/p><p>3.3.3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Appoint a suitably trained and competent person to assist them in carrying out their health and safety duties.<\/p><p>3.3.4\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure that employees receive sufficient training and information so that they can carry out their duties safely and competently.<\/p><p>3.3.5\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure that risk assessments are carried out on all potentially harmful activities.<\/p><p>3.3.6\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Initiate the timing and annual review of the Health and Safety Policy and ensure it is promoted to all employees and others working on behalf of the Company.\u00a0<\/p><p>3.3.7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure that all employees carry out the health and safety duties allocated to them.<\/p><p>3.3.8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure the safety performance of the Company is monitored and take action to remedy any identified deficiencies.<\/p><p>3.3.9\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure that adequate provision is made for welfare facilities and that adequate first aid provisions are made.<\/p><p>3.3.10\u00a0\u00a0 Ensure that all necessary PPE is provided to employees, and that instruction is given on its use.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><h3>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Designated Health &amp; Safety Person\u2019s Duties:<\/strong><\/h3><p>4.1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Print Clever will maintain the role of Head of Compliance to fulfil the role of Designated Health &amp;
